JOB TITLE: Architect
DEPARTMENT: Construction Department
LINE MANAGER: Construction Manager/Deputy Construction Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Architects in the construction field develop and plan structural components, infrastructure, and transportation systems. They design new buildings, extensions, renovations, and restorations, ensuring projects meet client requirements and align with sustainability principles.

Primary Responsibilities :

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complying with contractual obligations and maintaining QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to ISO Management Documentation System and standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 45000).
  • Consulting with clients to identify their requirements, budgets, timelines, and expansion needs.
  • Understanding client preferences regarding materials, styles, and colors.
  • Assisting clients in defining priorities and creating preliminary design sketches.
  • Preparing and presenting designs, specifications, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
  • Developing detailed plans incorporating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations, and presenting them for client approval.
  • Modifying designs as needed based on feedback.
  • Preparing scale drawings and contract requirements for bid submissions.
  • Assisting in the selection and awarding of construction contracts.
  • Collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure the construction process aligns with specifications.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of building products, construction details, and applicable regulations.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and consultation abilities.
  • Capability to translate client ideas into visual and tangible references like drawings or models.
