Job Overview:

The National Sales Head is responsible for leading and managing the company's national sales operations. This includes formulating and executing strategies to drive growth, maximize revenue, and ensure effective sales execution across various regions. The National Sales Head will lead a team of regional sales managers, implement key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with the company’s overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive national sales strategies and plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify new opportunities.
    • Coordinate with marketing and product teams to ensure sales efforts align with brand and product goals.
  2. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers, sales representatives, and other sales staff.
    • Set clear sales goals and performance metrics for team members, and provide ongoing coaching and support.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate continuous training and professional development.
  3. Sales Performance Management:

    • Monitor and assess national sales performance against targets, making adjustments as necessary to ensure goals are met.
    • Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  4. Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise with customers or distributors.
  5. Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing, finance, product, and operations teams to drive alignment and execution of sales plans.
    • Provide feedback to the product team regarding customer needs, market trends, and product performance.
  6. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Manage the national sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet sales objectives.
    • Approve and monitor sales expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints.
  7. Market Expansion and Growth:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including entering new markets or expanding into underserved regions.
    • Lead the negotiation and execution of large deals and partnerships with strategic clients.
  8. Brand Ambassadorship:

    • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company’s values, products, and services at national events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
    • Represent the company at high-level meetings with clients, stakeholders, and partners.

Primary Responsibilities :

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in sales leadership roles, preferably in a national or regional capacity.
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel frequently as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
