Purchase Manager

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities at a metal plant in Nigeria. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of raw materials, equipment, and supplies for the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize purchasing and reduce costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement management.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes, preferably in the metal industry.
  • Negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be based in Nigeria or willing to relocate locally.

Salary Range: $1,500 - $2,000 USD/month
