Job Description:

A successful Retail Outlet (RO) Manager possesses excellent customer service skills, enjoys working with the public, and demonstrates exceptional knowledge in the petroleum industry. The role involves providing vision and setting guidelines for service station employees, overseeing all aspects of operations to ensure organizational efficiency. Responsibilities include budget development, accounts receivable, payroll administration, sales and inventory reporting, and addressing quality concerns.

Primary Responsibilities :

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Daily Monitoring:

    • Oversee the Retail Outlet located in Kundrathur, Chennai.
    • Perform stock reconciliation: opening stock, receipts, sales, and closing stock.
    • Report end-of-day sales figures and stock positions to the Head Office.
  2. Sales Reconciliation:

    • Collect cash from sales staff hourly.
    • Reconcile cash with sales data at shift ends and day end.
    • Deposit cash and report any discrepancies.
  3. Forecourt Management:

    • Maintain cordial relationships with staff.
    • Facilitate positive customer interactions.
    • Collect customer feedback on service and product quality.
    • Implement manning norms and organize training for Delivery Sales Men (DSM).
    • Assess DSM performance and initiate performance enhancement measures.
  4. Product Unloading:

    • Oversee product unloading and receipt reconciliation.
    • Ensure presence during unloading activities.
  5. Safety & Maintenance:

    • Conduct monthly fire drills and coordinate quarterly with the Head Office.
    • Ensure safety during product unloading and maintain first aid boxes.
    • Lodge maintenance complaints and acknowledge preventive/breakdown maintenance.
    • Operate the retail outlet on a DG-Set in the event of UPS failure.
  6. Liaison:

    • Liaise with police, electricity departments, legal metrology, sales tax, and labor authorities as needed.
  7. Inspection Coordination:

    • Provide assistance during inspections by Nayara Energy and company officials.
  8. Record Maintenance:

    • Maintain records of licenses, NOCs, sales tax registrations, DU stamping, maintenance reports, fire drills, and safety audits.

Location of Job:

Kundrathur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Annual Salary:

2.40 to 3.00 lacs

Experience:

1-2 years working experience in a similar field

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate
  2. Proficiency in local language, Hindi, and English
  3. Computer knowledge (Excel, Word) for reporting purposes
