Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join a dynamic culinary team in Abuja, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience, strong leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality cuisine. This is a two-year contract opportunity to work in a vibrant and multicultural environment.

Primary Responsibilities :

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations

  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow

  • Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all dishes

  • Assist in planning menus and creating new dishes

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety

  • Monitor inventory and manage kitchen supplies

  • Train junior kitchen staff and foster a productive team environment

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role

  • Proven experience in kitchen supervision and team handling

  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food presentation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills


Education & Skills:

  • Graduation preferred (culinary degree/certification a plus)

  • Language: Fluent in English

  • Strong communication skills

  • Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation

  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and enthusiastic work attitude
