Job Description :

Managing day-to-day activities: Oversee the entire freight forwarding process, ensuring timely and
efficient handling of ocean and air (Export & Import) shipments.
Coordinating with shipping lines and airlines: Regularly liaise with shipping lines and airlines to
obtain competitive rates and ensure smooth operations.
Global RFQ support: Assist in responding to global Request for Quotations (RFQ) to secure new
business opportunities.
Customer relationship management: Contact and meet with customers to foster strong business
relationships and identify potential growth opportunities. Interact with customers daily, addressing
their inquiries, escalation, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Documentation management: Oversee and resolve any documentation-related issues to ensure
compliance with international shipping regulations.
Team Development: Conduct weekly/ fortnightly meetings with the Team (Customer Service and
Documentation teams) to review operations and address any challenges.
Sales team support: Provide support to the sales team during the business closure process, including
rate negotiation and customer engagement.
Timely payment management: Implement processes to ensure all payments are collected on time,
minimizing delays and potential financial issues.

Preferred candidate profile. In-depth knowledge of logistics and freight forwarding processes,
including understanding international shipping regulations, customs procedures, documentation
requirements, and various modes of transportation (ocean, air, road, rail).
Know how of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in the logistics and freight
forwarding sector.
Strong negotiation skills for securing competitive rates from shipping lines, airlines, and other
service providers. Communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationship with customer.
Inspire teamwork, provide guidance, and ensure that the team works cohesively towards common
goals.Financial Acumen: Understand financial aspects such as budgeting, cost control, and
profitability analysis to manage the financial aspects.
Lead by example, inspire your team, and make well-informed decisions to drive the department.
Familiarity with international standards and certifications such as ISO, QMS, AEO, and GDP require for
maintaining high-quality services, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

5 - 8yrs
MBA/Any graduate with logistic experience
