DESIGNATION: Travel Desk Officer

Roles & Responsibilities:

Arrange travel for business and vacation customers for domestic & International tour packages,Hotel Bookings, Group Tours, Visa Services, Conference & Events

 Determine customers’ needs and preferences, such as schedules and costs

ï‚· Plan and arrange tour packages, getaways, and day trips

ï‚· Find flight, train & bus fares and schedule information & Calculate total travel costs

ï‚· Book reservations for travel, hotels, rental cars, and special events, such as tours and excursions

ï‚· Make alternative booking arrangements if changes arise before or during the trip

ï‚· Designing flexible tour packages to meet the needs of different clients

ï‚· Checking tickets and other relevant documents, seat allocations and any special requirements

ï‚· Helping with passport and immigration issues

ï‚· Helping holidaymakers check-in and settle into their accommodation

ï‚· Communicating a range of information on itineraries, destinations and culture

ï‚· Informing passengers of arrival and departure times at each destination on the itinerary and

ï‚· Making sure all travel arrangements run according to plan and that accommodation, meals and

service are satisfactory

ï‚· Organizing travel to local attractions and transport, such as car hire

Skills required:

ï‚· 2-5 years Travel industry experience

ï‚· Excellent Communication skills: must listen to customers, understand their travel needs, and

offer appropriate travel advice and information.

ï‚· Customer-service skills: must be able to respond to customer questions and complaints in a

friendly and professional manner.

ï‚· Detail oriented: must pay attention to details in order to ensure that the reservations they

make match travelers’ needs. Must make reservations at the correct dates, times, and locations

to meet travelers’ schedules.

ï‚· Organizational skills: should have strong organizational skills to handle itineraries for many

customers at once. Keeping client information in order and ensuring that bills and receipts are

processed in a timely manner is essential.
