Roles and responsibilities for providing full care to a 12-year-old boy with epilepsy and delays in development, requiring nursing experience or first aid courses, include:

  1. Personal Care: Assist with toilet care, showering/bathing, and preparing for bed.
  2. Meal Preparation: Prepare meals (light cooking or warming up food) and assist during meal times.
  3. Mobility Assistance: Assist with moving around the house, as the child may have coordination and balance issues due to seizures.
  4. Medication Management: Administer daily medications at the same time and with rigorous attention to detail.
  5. Sleeping Arrangements: Sleep by the child's side a minimum of 3 nights per week, as seizures often occur during sleep.

Additional responsibilities may include monitoring the child's condition, providing emotional support, and coordinating with healthcare professionals and the child's family as needed. The caregiver should also be prepared to respond calmly and effectively in case of a seizure, following any specific protocols or instructions provided by the child's healthcare team.

  7. Provide Constant Supervision: Maintain constant supervision to ensure his safety due to his tendency to put himself at risk.
