Job Description / Responsibilities / List of Activities:

  1. Generate in-house testing business for various electrical equipment and promote energy audits, power system studies, mechanical and electrical diagnostics from power and process plants, targeting approx. Rs. 8 Cr. per year.
  2. Increase companies membership and customer base in the region.
  3. Organize customer meets, presentations, and workshops in the assigned region.
  4. Promote companies brand image, acceptance, and awareness among customers.
  5. Generate business opportunities, prepare MIS, make presentations, collect market information, and coordinate with headquarters in Vadodara.
  6. Coordinate tender activities (online and offline) for various jobs across Uttar Pradesh and nearby regions.

Key Result Areas:

  1. Generate business of at least Rs. 8 Cr. from testing and evaluation, field services, R&D, and expert services.
  2. Create 10 new members and acquire 15 new customers from the region in the first year.
  3. Organize 6 customer meets, presentations, and workshops in industrial regions of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh.
  4. Collect outstanding payments from the region.

Job Description :

Skills Required to Perform the Job Effectively:

  • Technical Skills:

    1. In-depth knowledge of business development in the testing of electrical equipment in DISCOMS, TRANSCOs, and GENCOS (including hydro power plants).
    2. Knowledge of electrical equipment testing/specifications and codes is advantageous.
    3. Familiarity with field services such as on-site testing, energy audits, electrical and mechanical diagnostics, power systems study, and harmonics analysis.
  • Behavioral Skills:

    1. Customer-centric and friendly with a positive attitude, open to change, and eager to learn.
    2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    3. Ability to work under pressure and in demanding situations.
  • IT Skills:

    1. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    2. Working knowledge of ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred) and CRM modules.

Primary Responsibilities :

Objectives of the Position:

  1. Increase in Revenue:

    • ERDA aims for a revenue of Rs. 100 Crore from operations for FY 23-24. The proposed candidate will focus on promoting energy audits, power system studies, mechanical NDT and electrical diagnostics testing, and third-party inspection of electrical equipment in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. These regions are crucial due to their concentration of electrical equipment manufacturers and utilities.
  2. Building Customer Relationships:

    • Develop and maintain key account management relationships with utilities in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand to increase testing load for Vadodara and Gurugram Laboratories.

Qualification Required:

  • Essential: BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (4-year full-time degree) from an AICTE-approved institution.
  • Desirable: Full-time 2-year MBA in Marketing Management (First Class and above).

Experience Range:

  • Minimum 3 to 6 years

Experience Description:

  1. Experience in electrical/power equipment manufacturing/service organizations, power plants, or process plants.
  2. Ability to travel 15-20 days per month within the assigned territory (Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh).
  3. Direct customer interaction and lead generation experience with Uttar Pradesh utilities (primarily DISCOMs) is mandatory.
  4. Proficiency in tendering activities (both online and offline).
  5. Fluency in Hindi and English.
